Bay Bridge Half Marathon

The Bay Bridge Half is the only race that takes runners across the iconic new Bay Bridge—offering a rare, round-trip experience between Oakland and Treasure Island. Starting in West Oakland, the course features a flat and fast opening before ascending onto the bridge’s bike path. Runners are treated to panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and San Francisco’s skyline on one side, and Oakland’s cranes and rolling East Bay hills on the return. With music, entertainment, and premium local partnerships—including Oaklandish and Old Kan Beer—the event promises an immersive celebration rooted in East Bay pride. Held by the same team that founded the original US Half across the Golden Gate, this is Oakland’s bold answer to Bay Area racing. A high-energy expo, Cinco de Mayo festivities, and top-tier post-race food and drink complete the experience.
