About the event
The Hobart Airport Marathon Festival offers a stunning race experience along Constitution Dock, the Derwent River, and Salamanca Wharves. Set against Hobart’s historic waterfront, the event blends Tasmania’s rich heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant culture. The multi-distance race program includes a marathon (42.2km), half marathon (21.1km), 10km, 5km run, 5km walk, and a 2km fun run/walk, ensuring an inclusive experience for all. Marathon runners take on a two-lap course, while half marathoners complete a single loop, both finishing with a red carpet ‘hero’ moment. The festival is community-focused, welcoming families, wheelchair participants, and parents running with prams. Proceeds support Variety Tasmania, helping local children in need.
