About the event
The Leeds Country Way Winter Ultras offer a demanding cold-season test of endurance: two consecutive point-to-point ultramarathons along the 100 km (62-mile) Leeds Country Way. Designed to embrace the limited daylight and unpredictable conditions of December, this winter edition of the circuit challenges runners to stay sharp and resilient in the toughest months of the year. The route, though never more than 7 miles from Leeds City Square, is largely rural—traversing bridleways, woodland trails, and quiet country paths through villages, nature reserves, and parkland. With its unique mix of proximity and seclusion, this winter ultra is an ideal stage for serious runners to test themselves on technical, varied terrain under seasonal pressure. Runners can expect a low-key, self-reliant format with essential support where it matters most.
