About the event

The Paris–Versailles Race is a 16.2 km point-to-point road race linking two of France’s most iconic landmarks: the Eiffel Tower and the Château de Versailles. Held annually since 1979 and organized by the Paris-Versailles Association, this non-profit event draws up to 25,000 participants. The race begins on Quai Jacques Chirac, directly below the Eiffel Tower, and features a route known for its variety—highlighted by the steep Côte des Gardes climb around the halfway mark. Four refreshment stations, over 20 musical ensembles, and 12 medical aid points support runners along the course. All finishers receive a medal and diploma, while the top three women and men are awarded podium prizes.
