Salute to Service 5K & 1 Miler

The Salute to Service event, organized by Tidewater Striders and the City of Suffolk Parks and Recreation, honors those who have served in the military. It includes a main race and a children's run, both held in downtown Suffolk on a fast, flat course. Participants receive a T-shirt and medal, with refreshments and an after-party featuring music and food. Awards are given for overall and age group winners, and there is a military team competition. Registration is open until race day, with available discounts for club members and specific participants.
