Baptiste Locatelli bested a field of 336 at the North Face Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise in Pralognan-la-Vanoise (Rhone-Alpes/Savoie), France, finishing first with a time of 8:12:30.
Second place finisher Denis Beaudoing (8:48:44) was the only other runner to come in under nine hours.
Clement Poursac took third by more than 12 minutes with a time of 9:00:03.
In the women’s race, first place finisher Lauriane Foulet-Moreau (10:41:06) was the only runner to clear 11 hours.
Hillary Gerardi (11:15:54) came in ahead of Alessandra Perona (11:44:09), to finish second and third, respectively.
