Canyon Half Marathon

Fort Payne, AL - Join Jacksonville State University and the Little River Canyon Center for a stunning half marathon event that takes place on a certified course looping 13.1 miles on paved roads. The race starts and finishes at the Little River Canyon Center, offering breathtaking views as you run. Starting bright and early at 8:00 am, the first 5 miles of the route explore the scenic rim of the Little River Canyon National Preserve, providing a challenging yet rewarding experience. The remainder of the run winds through beautiful farm country, passing by famous locations such as Randy Owen Drive and his Tennessee River Music Hereford and Angus cattle ranch. Keep an eye out for Randy and Kelly Owen at the 6 and 8 mile water stations!

After the run, an awards ceremony will be held to celebrate the participants' achievements. Registration fees vary depending on the date, so make sure to sign up early to get the best rate. Early registration and packet pickup will be available the day before the race, with on-site registration starting at 7:00 am on race day.
