Dead Sea Ultra Marathon

For the past two decades, the Dead Sea Ultra Marathon has been a race that starts in Amman and ends at the shores of the Dead Sea, allowing runners to take in the view of the Jordan Rift Valley. However, in 2016, Run Jordan decided to change the route and organize the Ultramarathon to go around the Dead Sea, beginning near the historical Baptism Site close to the Jordan River and finishing at the hotel waterfront area. This race, which is the longest at 50 km and is held in the hot temperatures at 423 meters below sea-level, is especially challenging. Alongside the Ultramarathon, there is also a 10 km race for runners who prefer shorter distances. In 2017, LG became the title sponsor of the Dead Sea Ultramarathon, with the agreement to continue sponsorship for a period of five years.
