About the event
The Jungfrau-Marathon is an extraordinary event featuring 42.195 km with a 1'953 metres altitude difference and 4'000 entries that sell out every year. Runners and spectators will be amazed by the stunning landscape throughout the course, with magnificent views of the iconic Alpine trio of peaks, Mönch, Eiger, and Jungfrau. Starting in Interlaken and passing by Lake Brienz, traditional mountain villages, and a breathtaking mountain backdrop, the journey ends in the same place it began. Adding to the excitement are the flag throwers, alphorn players, and bell ringers who liven up the atmosphere. The Jungfrau-Marathon is truly an awe-inspiring experience.

Robbie Simpson claimed victory in Interlaken with a time of 03:00:11, followed by Birhanu Mekonnen who finished with a time of 03:05:33. Stephan Wenk (03:06:17) made notched third place.
In the women’s race, it was Martina Strähl who took the top spot in 03:19:15 . She bested Michelle Maier who crossed the finish line 11 minutes 7 seconds behind her. The third place went to Aline Camboulives with a time of 03:39:38
