Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon - Heritage race

 The iconic Standard Chartered Marathon sets foot in Vietnam as Standard Chartered announced its title sponsorship for the Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race, starting 2024. 

 The first Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race, is scheduled to take place on November 3rd, 2024, running through the vibrant streets of Hanoi’s old quarter. 
 This is the first mass participation event title sponsored by Standard Chartered in Vietnam, a market with deep roots and a long heritage since 1904. The inaugural race will be a key milestone as the Bank commemorates its 120th year anniversary in Vietnam in 2024. 
 Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race will be the 10th race in the Standard Chartered Marathon franchise, which is renowned worldwide for its celebration of endurance, unity, and the pursuit of excellence, upholding high international race standards. 
 Standard Chartered has had a rich history of hosting prestigious marathons worldwide since 1997. Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon is the Bank’s first marathon and the biggest one with the participation of over 70,000 runners pre-covid. This race, along with Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon which is attracting 50,000 runners in 2023, is categorized as World Athletics Gold Label.

Standard Chartered brings its globally renowned marathon to Vietnam

 42 km 
 Trinh Quoc Luong grinded past more than 447 runners to win in 02:27:20. Pham Tien San earned runner-up honours with a time of 02:27:30. Rounding out the top three was Le van Tuan with a time of 02:27:58. 
 In the women’s race,  Pham Thi Hong Le got a win, finishing with a time of 02:56:30 , followed by Leo Thi Tinh who finished with a time of 03:11:10. Finishing third was Trương Vương Anh (03:15:32).

 Nguyen Dang Dong outran roughly 1276 runners to win with a time of 01:14:59. Nguyen Trung Cuong earned runner-up honours with a time of 01:15:02. Rounding out the top three was Huynh Duy Thuc with a time of 01:15:12. 
 In the ladies race,  Nguyen Thi Oanh got a win, finishing with a time of 01:23:15 . She bested Lo Thi Thanh who crossed the finish line one minute 42 seconds behind her. While Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong came in third at 01:26:19

 Le Trung Duc outran roughly 973 runners to win with a time of 00:31:14. Nguyen Quoc Anh secured second in this year’s race with a time of 00:31:16. Dao Minh Chi (00:31:47) made notched third place. 
 For the women,  Ho Thi Thu Ha took top honours by finishing the race in 00:39:23 , ahead of Nguyen Thi Ninh (00:42:21). While Hanh Nguyen came in third at 00:43:15

 Liu Hongliang finished first in 02:33:50. He finished 46 seconds ahead of Le van Tuan. Finishing third was Hillary Kipkering (02:35:55). 
 In the ladies race,  Pham Thi Hong Le got a win, finishing with a time of 02:55:42 . Leo Thi Tinh earned runner-up honours with a time of 03:14:49. Rounding out the top three was Chi Ling Mok with a time of 03:22:05.

 Li Chun Hui got a win, finishing with a time of 01:06:56. He bested Hoang Nguyen Thanh who crossed the finish line 29 seconds behind him. Finishing third was Le Trung Duc (01:11:28). 
 For the women,  Pham Thi Hue finished first in 01:19:44 . She bested Zhang Kaiqin who crossed the finish line 3 minutes 9 seconds behind her. Rounding out the top three was Bui Thi Thu Ha with a time of 01:24:07.
