ALTRA Brighton Half Marathon

Starting on Hove Lawns, on the seafront the race heads east towards the famous Brighton pier. The race then heads out towards Ovingdean, past the regal Royal and Lewes Crescent architecture. Continuing on Marine Drive and the bracing cliff tops, the race will head towards the Blind Veterans UK centre, where a sharp turn on the road before the Greenways Roundabout will bring you back west towards Brighton, enjoying wonderful cliff top and panoramic city views. Entering the Old Steine towards the majesty of St Peter’s Church, enjoy a quick respite as you run through the treelined perimeter of The Level before you head south back down Grand Parade to the Old Steine sweeping past the grandeur of the Royal Pavilion Turning before turning right onto the Kingsway you will run past Brighton Pier and the West Pier on the horizon (if it’s a nice day you may even see Worthing Pier in the distance!).Once past our two piers you will head into Hove along the Kings Road with the majestic cream regency architecture on your right and the sea on your left. Past the King Alfred Leisure Centre, you will run right to Hove Lagoon before turning left onto the seafront. A great 2 mile run past the colourful beach huts of Hove will bring you back to the finish and your last dash past cheering crowds to the finish on the Prom!
