Join us on a World Marathon Majors Qualifying Race!
Hosted at the magnificent Pembrey Country Park in Carmarthenshire, this race showcases the best of coast and country on a multi-distance route that includes a marathon, half marathon, and 10K.
The Great Welsh Marathon Events will start on the National Closed Road Cycle Circuit, located in the award-winning Pembrey Country Park. Participants will enjoy running through the gorgeous green space and woodland of the park before heading out onto the magnificent Millennium Coastal Path. Half marathon runners will turn in the coastal village of Pwll and head back towards the finish at Pembrey, while marathon runners will continue along the path through North Dock. Runners will then pass the Machynys Golf Club, which was the first Nicklaus-designed golf course in Wales and host to the European WPGA Championship.
This is a race for everyone, whether you love inspiring green spaces or are a sucker for coastal views, you’ll run happy, as this has it all!
Boasting a maximum elevation of only 18 meters and an overall gain of 110 meters for the full marathon distance, this race offers a superb opportunity to achieve your personal best!
It’s the perfect spring race—flat, friendly, and great for first-timers or PB chasers!
