The swim course is one of the only open-water swim courses in Belgium. Set on the river delta in the port of Nieuwpoort, the Nieuwpoort Swim takes place in a setting to marvel about. The perfect start of the Long Course Weekend. The course starts and finishes in the harbour of the city and right next to the Nieuwpoort memorial in honour of British soldiers. Set back from, yet close to the sea, the course offers shelter from the strong currents and allows spectators to cheer on athletes from both sides of the river banks, delivering world-class viewing points for all spectators and an unrivalled atmosphere for athletes! - Inner Harbour Newport - Red Carpet Finish - King Albert I Memorial
